【摘要】:Thenoisereductionofanenclosureisapropertyoftheenclosure,thelocationofthesoundsourceusedtomeasurenoisereduction,andthespaceinwhichtheenclosureisplaced.Itisnotapropertyoftheenclosurealone,anditsmeasurementunderdifferentconditionscanbeexpectedtogivedifferentresults.Whenthenoisereductionismeasuredinaccordancewiththistestmethod,thesoundsourceisoutsidetheenclosureandthesoundfieldoutsidetheenclosureapproximatesadiffusesoundfield.Measurementsmadeinaccordancewiththistestmethodcanbeexpectedtobereproduciblefromonelaboratorytoanother.Thenoisereductionmeasuredinaccordancewiththistestmethodmaybeusedforthefollowingpurposes:Toranktheorderofsound-isolatingenclosuresaccordingtonoiseisolationclass,NIC.Toestimatethehighestone-thirdoctavebandsoundpressurelevelsthatcanoccuroutsidetheenclosurewithoutexceedingspecifiedsoundpressurelevelsinsidetheenclosure.Toestimatetheone-thirdoctavebandsoundpressurelevelsthatwilloccurinsidetheenclosurewithspecifiedsoundpressurelevelsoutside.Thenoisereductionmeasuredinaccordancewiththistestmethodmaynotestimateaccuratelytheisolationthattheenclosurewillprovidewhenitisusedtoisolateanoisesourceinsideitfromthespaceoutside.Theusershouldbecautiouswhenusingnoisereductionsmeasuredbythistestmethodtoevaluateenclosuresusedtoenclosenoisesources.Sound-isolatingenclosuresarefrequentlymadefromprefabricatedmodularpanels.Thenoisereductionmeasuredbythistestmethodappliestothecompleteenclosureandnottoindividualpanelsfromwhichitismadeandcannotbeusedtoinferthesoundtransmissionlossoftheindividualpanels.Specificationsforsound-isolatingenclosuresmayincludereferencetonoisereductionandnoiseisolationclassmeasuredinaccordancewiththistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthereverberationroommeasurementofthenoisereductionofsound-isolatingenclosures.1.2Thenoiseisolationclassmaybedeterminedfromthenoisereductionmeasuredinaccordancewiththistestmethod.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
