【摘要】:Thisstandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminationoftheresistanceofchemically-pretreatedtextilestotheactionofmicro-organismspresentinsoilincomparisonwithuntreatedtextiles.Thismethodisapplicabletoflattextilesmadeofcellulosic-containingyarns(tentage,tarpaulins,webbingandtapes)thatwilltypicallycomeintocontactwithsoilduringuse.Duetotheinherentresistanceofmostsyntheticfibrestoattackbymicro-organisms,fabricscontainingahighproportionofsyntheticfibrescanonlybejudgedbythesemethodsforchangesinstructureandappearance.Althoughthismethodallowsgoodreproducibilityofresults,itisintendedtoshowcomparativeperformanceratherthanprovideabsolutevalues.NOTEHeavytarpaulinfabricsandwebbingmaybeofsuchastructurethatsampleswithoutfinishareresistantwithina14dayssoilburialperiod.Alsoinsuchcasesthedecayrateoftheuntreatedsampledeterminesthelengthoftheburialperiod.
